Age: Not really known; for arguments sake, we'll say he behaves like someone in his mid twenties or so, though he could much younger or much older.

Personality:
Upon meeting Papyrus, most people would think the skeleton was self-absorbed, boisterous, and generally unobservant of much of the world around them. And they would be right.
Papyrus exudes confidence, even if it isn't always a given that he should have it. Papyrus sincerely has a belief that he is great, or will be great, at anything he does. He takes great pride in the fact that he is a sentry in the monster town of Snowdin, right next to the ruins that humans who've fallen into the underground world the monsters are trapped in have been known to appear by. Papyrus works hard to fulfill his duties as a sentry, including having built a gate to hamper humans from entering Snowdin, as well as devising several puzzles meant to slow humans down from getting in. The fact that he made the bars of his gate to wide so that anything can get through or that some of his traps are as inane as leaving a plate of spaghetti on a table in the middle of nowhere hoping it will tempt humans to eat it and make trapping them easier are things Papyrus doesn't seem to really think about. If he isn't fantastic at something the first time, he inevitably will be. Papyrus will try again and again in order to get what he wants and to get better at what he's doing. The idea of 'no, you can't' simply doesn't make sense to Papyrus. He can. He will. He just has to keep being determined to do it, a position showed most when he went to the house of Undyne, Captain of the Royal Guard, to be trained for a position. Unfortunately, Papyrus showed up at midnight, which resulted in Undyne slamming the door in his face. However, Undyne was surprised when she opened the door the next morning to find that Papyrus was still there, having waited the entire night to ask Undyne again for a chance to join the Royal Guard.
